"The Baxter Project is a fantastic program that brings kids and dogs together in such a meaningful way. The walks provide a perfect environment for children to relax, unwind, and open up about their thoughts and feelings. The combination of fresh air, friendly dogs, and supportive conversations really helps boost their confidence and emotional well-being. A wonderful initiative that truly makes a positive difference!"

We were inspected last year, and the inspectors were really impressed with the work being gones by David and his team (and of course their dogs!). We can't thank them enough and are happy to recommend the service to other agencies.
She really loved walking Baxter and enjoyed spending time with the support worker, Jess, who accompanied them. She looked forward to the days she knew she would be walking Baxter and was disappointed if it didn't happen.
When she stopped attending school, she asked if she could keep walking Baxter. Through Social Services and TACT, we were able to arrange sessions with Jess and Baxter.
S has always enjoyed these times - but the most important aspect is the relationship she has built with Jess. She loves to spend time with Jess, walking or going out for a drink and she trusts her and has been able to open up to Jess about her feelings and struggles with life and Jess has been able to talk things through with her and help her.
She is now starting a scheme with Llamau but has asked (we made the request in her CLA Review this week) that she is able to continue working with the Baxter Project.
We can only speak really highly of the Baxter Project, the help that it has given to Sapph and the support and relationship that she now has with Jess.
he Baxter Project is an incredible initiative! They offer such a unique and thoughtful way for school kids to engage, combining the joy of spending time with dogs and the opportunity to open up and talk. It's clear that the walks are not only fun but also provide a safe, calming space for kids to express themselves and connect with others. Highly recommended for any school looking to support student well-being in a creative and heartwarming way!
