Commitment: Part-time (Flexible hours, approximately 5-10 hours per week)
Duration: Minimum commitment of 3 months, with the possibility to extend
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and creative Volunteer Social Content Creator to help us enhance our online presence and spread awareness about our impactful work. This role is ideal for a university or high school student interested in social media management, digital marketing, and nonprofit work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop engaging and visually appealing content (posts, stories, graphics, videos) for our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Content Scheduling: Plan and schedule regular posts using social media management tools to ensure consistent and timely updates.
- Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions, fostering a positive and interactive online community.
- Campaign Development: Assist in creating and executing social media campaigns to promote events, fundraising efforts, and awareness initiatives.
- Analytics: Track and analyse social media performance using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Research: Stay updated on social media trends and best practices, suggesting new ideas to enhance our online presence.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our team to align social media efforts with our overall communication and outreach strategies.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from a university or high school.
- Passion for social media, digital marketing, and nonprofit work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with an eye for design and detail.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Spark, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.) is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Outreach: Proactively contact schools and organisations via phone and email to introduce and promote The Baxter Project.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive relationships with key contacts at schools and organisations.
- Engagement: Encourage schools and organisations to participate in our programs and initiatives.
- Follow-Up: Track and follow up on leads to ensure ongoing engagement and support.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our team to align outreach efforts with our overall mission and goals.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and provide regular updates to the team.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for community engagement and nonprofit work.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.
- Previous experience in sales or outreach is desirable but not required.
